# Project Files and Assemblies

The files the package adds, and the assemblies it ships.

This page is for developers who need to know what the package puts in the project, what is safe to delete, and which assemblies to reference. You do not need any of it to use the tool.

## What lands in your project

<table><thead><tr><th width="330">Path</th><th>What it is</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><code>Packages/com.postica.binding-system/</code></td><td>The package itself. Never edit it: an update overwrites it.</td></tr><tr><td><code>Packages/com.postica.binding-system/Bindings/</code></td><td>Project data the system owns: bind types, meta values, global pins, field routes. The location is configurable, see <a href="/binding-system-3/reference/settings.md#bindings-path">Bindings Path</a>.</td></tr><tr><td><code>Library/BindDB.json</code>, <code>PrefabsDB.json</code>, <code>BindDeltaDB.json</code></td><td>Caches for the dependency and refactoring tools. Rebuilt on import, safe to delete, already ignored by git.</td></tr><tr><td><code>Library/BindingSystem/IdeIndex.json</code></td><td>Every binding of the saved project, for the <a href="/binding-system-3/reference/integrations/vscode-and-rider.md">VS Code and Rider extensions</a>. Rewritten as scenes, prefabs and assets are saved, safe to delete. <code>IdeRequest.json</code> beside it is what an IDE writes when you pick a binding, and is gone once Unity has read it.</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="info" %}
Nothing in `Library/` is needed at runtime. If a diagnostics window looks stale, deleting those files and reimporting rebuilds them.
{% endhint %}

## Assemblies

You normally reference only the two runtime assemblies, and both are `autoReferenced`, so a normal project needs no changes to its assembly definitions. The rest are listed for completeness.

<table><thead><tr><th width="330">Assembly</th><th>What it contains</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><code>Postica.BindingSystem.Runtime</code></td><td><code>Bind&#x3C;T></code>, the pipeline, the engine. Auto referenced.</td></tr><tr><td><code>Postica.Common.Runtime</code></td><td>Shared utilities. Auto referenced.</td></tr><tr><td><code>Postica.Common.Reflection</code></td><td>Unsafe pointer helpers used by the fast accessors.</td></tr><tr><td><code>Postica.BindingSystem.Editor</code></td><td>Every drawer, window and tool. Editor only.</td></tr><tr><td><code>Postica.Common.Editor</code></td><td>Shared editor widgets, including the dropdown behind both bind menus.</td></tr><tr><td><code>Postica.BindingSystem.Editor.Odin</code></td><td>Compiled only when <code>ODIN_INSPECTOR</code> is defined. See <a href="/binding-system-3/reference/integrations/odin-inspector.md">Odin Inspector</a>.</td></tr><tr><td><code>Postica.BindingSystem.Editor.UniText</code></td><td>Compiled only when the UniText package is installed. See <a href="/binding-system-3/reference/integrations/unitext.md">UniText</a>.</td></tr><tr><td><code>Postica.Common.Editor.Unsafe</code></td><td>Editor only, and only on non-Windows hosts or when <code>POSTICA_METHODHOOK_CODE</code> is defined.</td></tr></tbody></table>

If your own code lives in an assembly definition, add a reference to `Postica.BindingSystem.Runtime` only if you turned auto referencing off.
